Corsa for concern home

I don't often read the small print at the end of car adverts. However, it caught my eye when one of the latest adverts for the Vauxhall Corsa offered "one years's free insurance" [sic].

This breaks the cardinal rule of advertising: always double-check the small print. In this instance, it looks like a typographical error. It should read "one year's free insurance".

What I did: I rang up Vauxhall, having found their head-office details from their website. I explained the error and a nice gentleman thanked me and said he would look into it.

I have not seen the advert again. Hopefully, it will have been amended. I will post a further item here if it has not.
