Off The Work Again

No work for me today. It's a day of rest for some, but I wasn't really seeing it like that. Today I headed to London to meet a visiting friend for lunch. We had lunch. We had coffees. We had other liquids. Mainly it was coffees. I didn't drink alcohol. One lot of alcohol for me in a week is enough, thank you very much please.

After we'd set the world to rights I headed over to my sister's where I played a little with my niece and a little more with the piano there. I have gained the appreciation of a certain piece of music by a musician/comedian far better than I, and I have to play it at every available keyboard. Appreciation is far better than obsession. Note that down. Thank you.

There was food. There was the car journey back and the discovery of cruise control. Cruise control is good. There was listening to the soundtrack of The Drowsy Chaperon. That was good too.

Then home and bed. To sleep, perchance to dream.

Note: today was very relaxing, which sort of makes up for the fact that really nothing noteworthy happened in it. I have a busy week coming up, so perhaps that will afford some noteworthy events. We can but hope.
